Crafted for the Outdoors.
Built to Last.

We specialize in affordable decks and outdoor spaces designed with precision and made to withstand the elements — welcome to Northern Arbor Decking.

Welcome to Quality Decking at Affordable Prices

Northern Arbor Decking is a new value-based company from the ownership of Green Shield Deck Builders. At Northern Arbor Decking, we believe your dream outdoor space shouldn’t come with a premium price tag. That’s why we’ve eliminated the middlemen — no lumberyards, no distributors. We work directly with manufacturers, which means you get high-quality decking at a fraction of the typical cost.

Our composite materials are earth-friendly, made with post-consumer recycled plastics, and engineered for uncompromising durability. Whether you choose composite or eucalyptus hardwood, each option is designed to last — with minimal maintenance and maximum enjoyment for years to come.

We’re proud to offer a smarter, more sustainable way to build your deck — one that saves you money without cutting corners. Let us help you create a space where memories are made, season after season.

Performance Meets Sustainability

We offer two premium decking materials, each chosen for their long-term durability, minimal maintenance, and low environmental impact.

Recycled plastic is a key part of our eco-friendly Northern Arbor Decking products.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE Composite)

Made from post-consumer recycled plastics — including shampoo bottles, food containers, and box liners — our HDPE composite boards are eco-friendly, fade-resistant, and built to handle the elements without warping, splintering, or rotting.

  • Long-lasting color and texture

  • Low-maintenance

  • Mold and mildew resistant

  • Great for families and high-traffic areas

Eucalyptus Hardwood

Eucalyptus offers a naturally striking finish with incredible durability. Its dense cell structure makes it one of the most rot-, insect-, and decay-resistant woods available — perfect for outdoor living in any climate.

  • Naturally resistant to rot and pests

  • Sustainably harvested

  • Unique, rich grain patterns

  • Ages beautifully over time

Enjoy the Look and Feel of Real Hardwood

Choose from three traditional colors with multi-hued streaking and an authentic wood grain pattern that captures the beauty of tropical hardwoods. Made a proprietary blend of reclaimed eucalyptus wood and recycled plastic, the high-performance scalloped core features an added layer of protection for strengthened wear resistance and ease of maintenance.

Caring for Your New Deck

We’re here to help. Contact us directly with any questions you may have to ensure your new deck remains as amazing as it was on the day we installed it!

    • Keep deck clean and dry

    • Sweep debris from the gaps between the boards

    • Avoid wet mulch against the deck structure

    • Raise flower pots with stands/footers to allow airflow under the pot

    • Avoid spraying insect repellent or applying any type of sunscreen products while on the deck

  • All sources of high heat should be:

    • Placed on a non-rubber/non-vinyl grill mat or splatter guard to minimize stains

    • Kept a safe distance from the railing

  • Wash your deck with soap and water as often as needed, at least twice each year.

  • If soap and water aren’t sufficient, an all-purpose cleaner can usually cut through the grease and grime. Approved cleaning products:

    • Dawn® (good for grease spots)

    • Fantastik®

    • Murphy Oil Soap®

    • Lestoil®

    • Windex®

    • Lysol®

  • You may use a power washer to clean your deck:

    • Use dish soap detergent with the power wash

    • Use a fan-tip nozzle

    • Wash in the direction of the grain pattern to avoid damage

    • Use pressures less than 1,700 PSI
